Olympic/Paralympic Visit Visas (OPVV) for the London 2012 Olympics
Since the announcement of London winning the bid to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) have created a special visa for the competitors of the Olympic Games ( OPVV ) from outside the EEA.
The Olympic/Paralympic Games Visit Visa is a multiple entry visa for athletes, coaches, officials and accredited media. Multiple entry will allow people taking part in the games to partake in all activities leading up to the games in 2012.
When applying for this visa, there are certain requirements which need to be met and specific documents to be submitted in support of an application. Sounds complicated - why not let someone else prepare everything for you?
OISC regulated and with more than 20 years immigration experience, IEP Management can offer you advice and support on making your OPVV application.
IEP Management aren’t just here for the competitors, coaches and officials, we are also able to help you if you are a family member of a competitor or simply wanting to travel as a spectator and require a visa for the UK.
For advice and assistance call us on +44 (0)1572 823934 or email George@iepuk.com
UKBA advise to allow at least 2 months before you plan to travel to the U.K to enable them to process your visa.
NOTE: The OPVV does not replace the Olympic and Paralympic identity and accreditation cards - the OIAC and PIAC. Games family members will still need to apply for these through their responsible organisations.
